East Street Dental Practice.

Job Summary

As a member of the practice team the Dental Nurse receives the patient into the surgery and prepares them to receive dental treatment. At the direction of the dentist materials will be mixed and suction of the mouth provided. Staff members receive 28 days paid holiday calculated pro-rata for part time. Staff are paid by cheque at the end of the month.

Duties of post holder

 The nurse will;

Be within the surgery for chaperone purposes
Assist the dentist as directed
Record via computer treatment carried out
Be responsible for the aseptic state of the surgery
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times

Being committed to patient well being this practice has a firm No Smoking policy within the premises.

 Arrangements for supervision & Training

The nurse works under direct supervision training is often provided “on the job”. The practice fully embraces “Investors in People” thinking

Qualifications

The post holder is expected to be vaccinated in accordance with current Department of Health guidelines.
